Is AssemblyStack another STL repository? +
No. Instead of downloading fixed models, AssemblyStack generates configurable hardware assemblies based on reusable engineering templates.
Does AssemblyStack generate CAD with AI? +
Not in the traditional sense. AI helps configure proven engineering templates rather than creating random geometry. The goal is reliable, printable assemblies.
What files will I receive? +
Each assembly is planned to include STL files for printing, STEP files for editing, a Bill of Materials (BOM), and assembly instructions.
Can I modify the generated models? +
Yes. STEP files are intended to be included so you can continue editing them in your preferred CAD software.
Which hardware will be supported first? +
The first libraries will be chosen based on community feedback. Raspberry Pi, Home Assistant, ESP32 and networking equipment are our initial focus.
Will there be a free version? +
Yes. We plan to offer a free tier with selected assemblies alongside premium features for advanced users and businesses.
Can I request a new hardware library? +
Absolutely. Community requests will directly influence which ecosystems and assemblies are added next.
